Our standards for original writing, accuracy, sources, AI assistance, reviews, and corrections.
Updated
Every article should answer a specific reader question or help complete a real task. We aim to add original explanation, examples, analysis, or a useful framework. Rewriting another publication without meaningful added value does not meet this standard.
Writers should verify factual claims against primary sources when practical, distinguish recommendations from facts, and link to useful documentation. Time-sensitive information should carry a clear check date. Headlines and summaries must match what the article actually supports.
AI tools may assist with outlining, research organization, or editing. The named author and editors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, permissions, and the finished work. We do not publish invented interviews, hands-on tests, credentials, or personal experiences. Material AI assistance is disclosed when it helps readers understand how the work was produced.
A buying or review guide must explain its scope, criteria, evidence, and limits. We identify when an article is an evaluation framework rather than a product test. If a product was tested, the article should describe the setup and date so the reader can assess the result.
Images must be original, licensed, or otherwise cleared for use, with credits where required. Links should help readers verify or continue their research. Advertising, sponsorship, and affiliate relationships are disclosed near the related content and handled according to our advertising disclosure.
Readers can report an error using the contact page. We review the evidence, correct confirmed errors, and identify material changes where doing so helps readers. Updates should not silently turn an opinion into a factual claim or erase the original context.
