How it works:
- 01Customer types a 6-digit Indian PIN code in the postcode field.
- 02After the configured number of digits (default: 3), the plugin triggers a lookup.
- 03State and City fields are instantly populated from the built-in local index.
- 04If the PIN code is not in the local index, the plugin falls back to the postalpincode.in API with WP Transient caching as a safety net.

What the service is: postalpincode.in is a free, community-maintained public directory of Indian postal PIN code data. It mirrors publicly available India Post pincode information. The service is stateless — it has no user accounts, no cookies, and collects no personal data.
