About this tool.
Sense Forms is a WordPress form builder with built-in analytics. Capture traffic source, UTM parameters, device, and visitor journey data with every form submission.
One plugin instead of four. Sense Forms does the work of a form builder, a UTM/attribution add-on, a spam-protection plugin, and an SMTP plugin — self-contained by default, with nothing routed through a third-party service unless you turn it on.
Every time someone submits a form, Sense Forms automatically captures:
UTM Parameters — source, medium, campaign, term, and content
Device Information — desktop, tablet, or mobile, plus browser and OS
Time to Submit — how long they spent filling out the form
Form Abandonment — who started filling out your form but did not finish
Features
Drag and Drop Form Builder — create beautiful forms without code
19 Field Types — including name (first/last), address, dropdown, radio buttons, checkboxes, date and time pickers, file upload, custom HTML, and a GDPR consent field
Built-in Visitor Tracking — automatic, no extra plugins needed
Lead Attribution — know exactly which channel brought each lead
UTM Parameter Capture — persistent across pages and sessions
Form Abandonment Tracking — see who started but did not finish
Email Notifications — customizable with merge tags, from name/email, and reply-to
Built-in SMTP — route email through your own SMTP server for reliable delivery, with a one-click test
Confirmation Emails — automatic thank-you emails sent to submitters
Layered Spam Protection — honeypot, time trap, per-IP rate limiting, duplicate guard, word blocklist, plus optional Akismet and Google reCAPTCHA v3
Responsive Design — forms look great on every device
Conditional Logic — show or hide fields based on what the visitor enters, included free
Field Validation — length limits, numeric ranges, regex patterns, input masks and character counters
Full Style Control — live-preview colours for labels, inputs, borders, backgrounds and buttons, plus size and spacing presets, button alignment, and form padding and shadow
Button Styles — filled, outlined, gradient, and minimal button variants
Entry Management — view, search, filter, star submissions
Shortcode Embedding — use [senseform id=”1″] anywhere
Gutenberg Block — native block editor support with form picker and live preview
Elementor Widget — dedicated widget in the Elementor panel
Beaver Builder Compatible — embed forms via shortcode in any HTML module
CSV Export — export all entries with one click
Bulk Entry Actions — select multiple entries to delete, mark read, or mark unread
Form Duplication — duplicate any form with one click
Privacy Tools — GDPR consent field, IP anonymisation, configurable data retention, Do Not Track support, cookie-free mode, and integration with WordPress data export and erasure requests
Accessibility-Minded — ARIA labels, proper label associations, and screen-reader-only text throughout
Lite vs Pro
Everything described above is in the free plugin — unlimited forms and submissions, all 19 field types, conditional logic, visitor tracking and the analytics dashboard, every spam-protection layer, notification and confirmation emails with SMTP, privacy tools, CSV export, bulk actions, and every integration. No form limits, no submission limits, nothing held back.
Sense Forms Pro is planned as a separate add-on for multi-step forms, multi-site agency sync, advanced export filters and priority support. None of the functionality above depends on it.
External Services
Sense Forms works fully self-contained by default. No data is sent anywhere unless you switch on one of the optional services below, each of which requires you to enter your own credentials.
Google reCAPTCHA v3 (optional, off by default)
If you select reCAPTCHA as your CAPTCHA provider, enter your own keys, and enable the CAPTCHA on a form:
The reCAPTCHA script is loaded from google.com on pages containing that form.
On each submission, the visitor’s reCAPTCHA token and IP address are sent to https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify to score the submission.
This happens only on submissions of forms where you enabled the CAPTCHA.
Google’s terms and privacy policy apply: Terms | Privacy Policy
Akismet (optional, off by default, requires the separate Akismet plugin)
If the Akismet plugin is installed and configured with an API key, and you leave the Akismet spam layer enabled in Sense Forms settings:
Submission content, the submitter’s name and email where present, their IP address, user agent and referring URL are sent to Akismet’s service to be classified as spam or not spam.
The request is made by the Akismet plugin itself using your own Akismet account.
If Akismet is not installed or has no key, this layer stays inactive and nothing is sent.
Automattic’s terms and privacy policy apply: Terms of Service | Privacy Policy
If you use none of the above, Sense Forms makes no external requests at all.

Frequently asked questions.
Do I need other tracking plugins?
No. Sense Forms includes its own lightweight tracking script.
Will this slow down my site?
The tracking script is around 15KB and loads in the page footer, so it never blocks rendering. It talks only to your own site — the tracking layer makes no third-party requests.
Does it work with page builders?
Yes. Sense Forms includes native integrations for Gutenberg (block editor) and Elementor (dedicated widget). For Beaver Builder, Divi, WPBakery, and other builders, use the shortcode [senseform id=”1″] in any HTML or text module.
Does Sense Forms help with GDPR?
It gives you the tools, but compliance depends on how you use them and on your own disclosures and lawful basis — no plugin can make a site compliant on its own.
What Sense Forms provides: a GDPR consent field, IP anonymisation, Do Not Track support, a cookie-free tracking mode, automatic data-retention cleanup, a notification-only mode that stores nothing in the database, and integration with WordPress’s personal data export and erasure requests. By default all data stays in your own database; the only exceptions are the optional Akismet and reCAPTCHA integrations, off by default and described under External Services below.
My notification emails are not arriving. What should I do?
By default Sense Forms uses WordPress’s built-in mail, and a new form already has an admin notification set up for your site’s admin email. If your host blocks or spam-filters PHP mail, go to Sense Forms → Settings → Email Delivery (SMTP) , enter your SMTP details (host, port, username, password) from any provider — Gmail, Brevo, SendGrid, Amazon SES, and so on — and use Send Test to verify. SMTP applies only to Sense Forms email by default; you can optionally route all WordPress email through it, and it coexists with a dedicated SMTP plugin. Submissions are always saved regardless, and the dashboard warns you if a notification could not be delivered.
Will I lose my data if I uninstall the plugin?
No. By default, all forms, entries, and analytics are preserved when you uninstall, so nothing is lost if you reinstall later. If you want a complete cleanup, enable “Remove ALL data when the plugin is uninstalled” in Settings before deleting the plugin.
