Daily Rosary automatically shows the correct Rosary for the current day using the free Rosary API:

• Mystery set (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious or Luminous)
• Liturgical season
• Full date and day of the week
• Embedded audio player (MP3)
• YouTube video embed

Supports multiple languages via the lang attribute (e.g., lang="fr" ).

The data is cached until midnight so the API is only called once per day.

External services

This plugin connects to external third-party services and APIs to fetch daily Rosary content and display embedded media:

1. 01The Rosary API (the-rosary-api.vercel.app) Purpose: Used to retrieve today’s liturgical Rosary information, including current mystery, liturgical season, audio player links, and YouTube video IDs.
2. 02Data Sent & When: Sends an HTTP GET request to https://the-rosary-api.vercel.app/v1/today (English) or https://the-rosary-api.vercel.app/v1/dujour (French) whenever a shortcode page is loaded and data is not cached locally. No personal user data or IP addresses are logged or sent by this plugin.
