Tika Doc PDF Indexer

This plugin will automatically index pdf uploaded files from the media manager. Plugin requires Tika installation and Java binaries to run properly. Default configuration works well in Pantheon as all minimum requirements are installed by default.

This plugin will enable the indexing all attached PDFs automaticall and works well in conjunction with the Pantheon Solr plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/solr-power/

Usage

After plugin installation:

1. 01Make sure the plugin has the correct path to the Tika installation and Java installation.
2. 02Upload PDF files via the media manager.
3. 03All extracted data from the Attachment Post Type will be saved in the wp_content column.
4. 04If using the Pantheon Solr plugin, it will be automatically indexed by default whenever a supported file type is uploaded.

Installing “Tika Doc PDF Indexer” can be done either by searching for “Tika Doc PDF Indexer” via the “Plugins > Add New” screen in your WordPress dashboard, or by using the following steps:

1. 01Download the plugin via WordPress.org
2. 02Upload the ZIP file through the ‘Plugins > Add New > Upload’ screen in your WordPress dashboard
3. 03Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
