Bookyt Rental Software connects your WordPress website to your existing Bookyt account. Show rental items, availability, locations, news, and the Bookyt online booking experience directly on your website.
The plugin is designed for rental businesses that manage vehicles, trailers, bicycles, e-bikes, tools, equipment, machines, or other rental items with Bookyt. A Bookyt account with API access is required.

Connect Bookyt once
After activating the plugin, open Settings → Bookyt in WordPress. Enter your Bookyt account name, access token, and preferred language there.
The language can be selected manually or set to Automatic . Automatic mode follows the WordPress language and uses English when the selected WordPress language is not supported.
Once the settings are saved, short shortcodes are enough:

Account and token attributes in a shortcode are optional overrides for special configurations, such as websites that use more than one Bookyt account. Keeping them in Settings → Bookyt is recommended for normal use.
Available calls
The call parameter determines which content from Bookyt Rental Software appears on the page. If no call is specified, the plugin uses category .
Rental categories: category
Displays available rental categories with image, name, and description. Visitors can open an item to see its details.
Displays one rental item with its description, equipment, and images. Pass the Bookyt category ID with category_id .

The category overview also opens item details automatically when a visitor selects an offer.
Featured rental offers: featured
Displays selected rental categories as a compact offer grid. Pass comma-separated Bookyt category IDs with category_id . Without an explicit selection, the first three categories are displayed.

Availability calendar: calendar
Lets visitors select a rental period, pickup location, and category and then check the availability calendar.

Compact availability check: availability
Lets visitors select a rental period, pickup location, category, and start date and then checks that date using Bookyt’s live availability data.
Embeds the complete Bookyt booking frontend in the WordPress page. A valid Bookyt account is required, but this call does not require an access token.

The account can come from Settings → Bookyt or be supplied as an override:

Direct booking button: booking_button
Displays a compact button that opens the Bookyt booking flow. This call does not require an access token. A location and category can be passed to preselect the booking context.
The station_id and category_id attributes accept comma-separated IDs. If a filter is omitted, all available entries are displayed. Supported views are day , week , and month .
Rental locations: locations
Displays rental locations with the information maintained in Bookyt.

Shortcode parameters
call selects the Bookyt view.
account overrides the centrally configured Bookyt account.
token overrides the centrally configured access token.
station_id filters or preselects one or more rental locations.
category_id filters categories or selects a single rental item.
view selects the day , week , or month occupancy-plan view.
Supported languages
The plugin supports German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Greek, and Turkish. The selected language is used for plugin labels and is sent to Bookyt for the requested content.
External Bookyt service
This plugin is a connector for the externally hosted Bookyt Rental Software service. When a page containing a Bookyt shortcode is displayed, the plugin requests the required content from the configured Bookyt account at *.bookyt.de . Depending on the call, the request includes the configured account, access token, language, and selected location or category filters.
The embed and booking_button calls load the Bookyt booking frontend from *.bookyt.de . Visitors may therefore interact directly with the Bookyt service. No Bookyt content can be displayed without connecting the plugin to a Bookyt account.
Please review the Bookyt privacy policy and make sure your website privacy information covers the embedded service where required.

Getting started.
01Install and activate Bookyt Rental Software in WordPress.

Frequently asked questions.
Do I need a Bookyt account?
Yes. The plugin displays content from Bookyt Rental Software and therefore requires an existing Bookyt account. You can find product and trial information at bookyt.de .
Where do I enter the account and access token?
Open Settings → Bookyt in the WordPress administration area. Enter the account prefix, access token, and language once. You normally do not need to repeat account or token values in individual shortcodes.
Can I use more than one Bookyt account?
Yes. The account and token attributes in a shortcode override the central settings for that shortcode.
Do the embedded booking and direct booking button require a token?
No. call="embed" and call="booking_button" require a valid Bookyt account but do not use the access token.
What happens when I select Automatic language?
The plugin follows the current WordPress language. If WordPress uses a language that Bookyt does not support, the plugin uses English.
