Inserting a Pattern (Free):

How is Strakture different from other WordPress pattern plugins?
Most pattern libraries give you a collection of pre-built patterns that you have to manually restyle to match your site — changing colors, adjusting fonts, fixing spacing. Strakture reads your theme’s actual CSS variables and generates patterns that use your exact design tokens. The result looks like you built it from scratch.
How does the AI customization work?
Before generating, you can optionally describe modifications in plain English. For example: “Make the heading larger, add a subtitle, change to 3 columns.” Claude AI regenerates the pattern with your changes while keeping your theme’s design system. No prompt engineering required — conversational instructions work. The same plain-English workflow also powers Customize with AI for existing blocks in the editor.
Can I customize existing blocks with AI?
Yes. In Pro, select a block in the editor and click Customize with AI in the block toolbar. Strakture sends the selected block markup, your prompt, and your theme design data to the API, then replaces that block in place with the AI-edited result.
What happens to patterns if I cancel?
Nothing — they stay on your site. Strakture generates standard WordPress blocks. You can edit, move, or delete them like any other content. No lock-in, no proprietary format.
Can I customize patterns after inserting them?
Absolutely. Once inserted, patterns become regular WordPress blocks. You have full editing control — change text, swap images, adjust spacing, add or remove elements — just like any other block content.
Do you support Elementor or Divi?
Strakture generates native WordPress blocks, not page builder elements. It works best with block themes (FSE) like Kadence, Astra, and Twenty Twenty-Four. If you’re using Elementor or Divi, you’ll need to use their native pattern systems.
Are the Unsplash images free to use commercially?
Yes. All Unsplash images are licensed for commercial use. Strakture automatically downloads images to your WordPress media library and generates proper photographer attribution, ensuring compliance with Unsplash’s terms.
Can AI agents like Claude build pages with Strakture?
Yes. On WordPress 6.9+ install the MCP Adapter plugin (Strakture can install it for you from its dashboard), create an Application Password, and add the connection snippet shown on the Strakture dashboard to your agent. Agents can then search patterns, generate sections, and create pages, menus and the homepage on your site. Pages are created as drafts unless you ask the agent to publish.
What counts as a “pattern generation”?
Each time you click Generate to create a theme-matched AI version of a pattern, it uses one credit. Each time you use Customize with AI on an existing block, it also uses one credit. Browsing the library and inserting original (non-AI) patterns is free and never uses credits.
Do credits roll over?
Credits reset each month on your billing date. Unused credits don’t roll over, but you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
Will Strakture slow down my website?
No. Strakture adds no frontend scripts or styles to your site. The library UI loads only inside the WordPress block editor, and only when you open it. Inserted patterns are standard WordPress blocks — no additional performance overhead for visitors.
