An article's main image can load correctly while a CSS background still points to the old HTTP upload URL. Find the stylesheet rule that supplies the background. Changing only the featured image field leaves the actual failing reference untouched.

Confirm that the change reached readers

Purge the relevant application and CDN cache after correcting the source. Reload without a warm browser cache and inspect the same request again. Check an article, an archive and the homepage because they may use different image settings.

Keep HTTPS enabled throughout the investigation. The goal is secure resources with working content, not a quieter console achieved by weakening browser protections.
